Vedanta terminal launches drinking water project in Vizag
Vedanta’s Vizag General Cargo Berth Pvt Ltd (VGCB), a BOT operator of Visakhapatnam Port Authority, recently launched a drinking water project to benefit over 2,000 households in Visakhapatnam.

Visakhapatnam Vedanta's Vizag General Cargo Berth Pvt Ltd (VGCB), a BOT operator of Visakhapatnam Port Authority, recently launched a drinking water project to benefit over 2,000 households in Visakhapatnam.
As part of the CSR initiative, VGCB installed a 4,000 LPH capacity RO plant to provide clean and safe drinking water supply to communities at very nominal cost. Earlier the project was launched in the presence of Mayor of Visakhapatnam Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari, Mohammed Sadiq, Vurukuti Narayana Rao, corporators and C. Sateesh Kumar, Dy. CEO VGCB.
After installation, the plant was handed over for complete operation and maintenance to Old Town Development Committee, Visakhapatnam.
Sateesh Kumar said said: "We believe community development is an integral and most important aspect of our business philosophy. Our aim is to contribute maximum towards community development and ensure robust & transparent stakeholder engagement."
